The IEEE 802 Plenary and Interim Sessions are part of a series of technical meetings organized on behalf of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE). The IEEE 802, known as the LAN/MAN Standards Committee develops and maintains Local Area Network standards and Metropolitan Area Network standards for industrial and residential use. The members of this association have been meeting routinely to negotiate standards and present developments in their field since 1982.
IEEE 802 Plenary Sessions are held three times a year, July, July and November.
